What are the biggest mistakes with beginner tips in AI Characters?

[mollyonwolf]

There are several ways to approach AI Characters, so I wanted to compare experiences.

I am particularly interested in beginner tips and customisation. I would like to compare approaches that people have actually used rather than just theoretical suggestions.

What would you tell someone trying this for the first time?

A useful way to look at What are the biggest mistakes with beginner tips in AI Characters? is to focus first on beginner and tips. That tends to make the trade-offs easier to compare. That should make it easier to tell whether the change is actually helping.
