performance question: how do you handle MCP?

I have been exploring MCP and wanted to ask people who have tried it in practice.

I am particularly interested in performance and reliability. I would like to compare approaches that people have actually used rather than just theoretical suggestions.

Are there any settings, tools, or workflow changes that made a noticeable difference?

For performance question: how do you handle MCP?, I would separate the problem into setup, output quality and repeatability. performance and mcp fits into that because it can change the result quite a lot depending on the workflow. It is usually easier to troubleshoot when each change is tested on its own.
