How do you improve security when working with Natural Language Processing?

There are several ways to approach Natural Language Processing, so I wanted to compare experiences.

I am particularly interested in security and automation. I would like to compare approaches that people have actually used rather than just theoretical suggestions.

What would you tell someone trying this for the first time?

The point about security and natural is interesting. In practice I would keep the first test simple, record what worked, and only add extra complexity if it solves a specific limitation. That should make it easier to tell whether the change is actually helping.
