useful tools question: how do you handle GPUs?

[freyamountain]

I have a question about GPUs that may be useful for other people working with it too.

I am particularly interested in useful tools and getting started. I would like to compare approaches that people have actually used rather than just theoretical suggestions.

What has worked best for you, and what would you avoid?

A useful way to look at useful tools question: how do you handle GPUs? is to focus first on useful and tools. That tends to make the trade-offs easier to compare. If you share the exact setup, it would be easier to narrow down which part matters most.
