I wanted to start a broader future possibilities thread around Computer Vision.

A useful angle is evaluation, but it also connects with performance. Different tools and workflows can produce very different results even when the goal is similar.

It would be interesting to compare practical examples, experiments, setups, or lessons that show where Computer Vision is genuinely useful and where it still needs improvement.

For Computer Vision: future possibilities ideas and experiences, I would separate the problem into setup, output quality and repeatability. computer and vision fits into that because it can change the result quite a lot depending on the workflow. The original point — "I wanted to start a broader future possibilities thread around Computer Vision. A useful angle is evaluation, but it also connects with performance. Different tools and workflows…" — gives a useful starting point for that comparison.

I think computer and vision is the key part of this topic. A practical approach is to define the outcome you want, test it with a small example, and then check quality, speed and reliability separately.
