A practical understanding of LM Studio starts with knowing what the system does well, where it is unreliable, and how to validate the result.

One important area is common mistakes. Define what a good result looks like before changing tools or settings, then test one variable at a time so you can tell what actually improved the outcome.

Another area is productivity. Keep examples of both strong and weak outputs, check important facts or generated code independently, and document settings that produce consistent results.

The main takeaway is that LM Studio becomes much more reliable when the workflow includes clear inputs, repeatable checks, and a way to learn from previous results.

My preference would be to get studio repeatable before trying to optimise it. Consistency first, then speed or quality improvements after that. I would trust a repeatable result more than one impressive run. The part about "A practical understanding of LM Studio starts with knowing what the system does well, where it is unreliable, and how t…" is the bit I would test first.
